Picnic in the Park

How, fun it's that time again for our yearly Picnic in the Park pot luck.

We will meet under the picnic shelter in Robinson Park ( right outside our doors) near the library.
Everyone will bring a pot luck item of your choice and a serving spoon, spatula or whatever you need to serve with.  We will provide plates, napkins, eating utensils and water.
Because the grass is often watered in the morning we strongly suggest a towel too!
You may bring a chair if you wish or you can plan on sitting on the benches.

Our hand project will be turning and closing the black and white half square triangles that were given in a kit during our May 19 meeting.  If you didn't get one that's OK, we will have plenty to share.
Here is a step by step for how to do the half square triangle game pieces in the kits.
Sorry it wasn't posted earlier but that is how life goes sometimes.
Hope it helps you out!

A Finished Quilt

I ran upon a finished example of the Civil War Quilt Sampler and thought you would enjoy seeing it!
I looks pretty much like Barbra's quilt to me but maybe you can get some ideas

May 26 NIght Group

Did you miss the Twister Template Workshop earlier?
It seems everyone except Joann and Janine B did so we will be repeating the workshop.
Janine will have kits for us to try this fun template with so bring your machine if you can or use one of the room machines.
And of course don't forget your paper foundation pieced flying geese to help us finish up our Quilt of Valor donation quilt.

Quilt of Valor Day

May 19 will be a Quilt of Valor workshop lead by Jera...she will be providing the pattern and fabrics so come ready to sew!
She tells me that it will be a project that can be completed (or mostly) in the one day!
